Confidential Service, In-depth Research, Experienced Professionals
We are MIR Appraisal Services, Inc., a fine art and personal property appraisal company in Chicago, dedicated to serving clients throughout the United States and abroad since our incorporation in 1994. Our art appraisers and researchers specialize in the multi-faceted field of appraising fine art, jewelry, antiques and decorative items. Our consultation services are second to none, and our appraisers and research staff can assist with a variety of art-related concerns. As a courtesy to our clientele, we can assist with art conservation and restoration services or help you to sell certain items in your collection.
At MIR Appraisal Services, Inc., we offer solutions through our professional and precise appraisal services carried out by our team of accredited art appraisers for the purposes of insurance coverage and claims, charitable donations, estate planning and probate, equitable distribution (including divorce cases) and fair-market value. We strive to tailor our services to our clients' needs, walking them through the appraisal process from start to finish. Additionally, we enjoy working for the not-for-profit sector, and have done a considerable amount of work for non-profit organizations, in addition to many academic and cultural institutions. Our reports are written by qualified researchers according to the standards set forth by the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) and the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and also in conformity with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Accredited Members of the International Society of Appraisers are approved by the IRS.
We are in the business of protecting and conserving our client’s most precious possessions and assets, and maintaining our own code of professional ethics. Accordingly, prior to choosing an appraiser, we would like to encourage you to seek background information on them, verify their standards, affiliations and credentials before entrusting them with your treasures.
